Sweeten Up Your Kitchen With a Baking Station
Everyone loves a good coffee bar, lemonade stand and hot cocoa station, but what about creating a designated space for your sweetest ingredients of all – baking supplies?! Setting up your very own baking station is easy as pie and quicker than baking a batch of chocolate chip cookies.
Start by finding an open counter or table space to make your baking hub. Grab your most used dry ingredients (think flour, sugar, nuts, chocolate chips or other dry goods) and your go-to pans and gear (cookie sheets, measuring cups, bowls). Place bulk ingredients, like flour or sugar, into decorative jars or tins. Tuck less attractive supplies into boxes or arrange them neatly on a spice rack or lazy susan. Finally, place your pans, bowls or measuring cups in nearby cupboards, drawers or stack them neatly on shelves. Ta-da! You’ve created a cute (and uber-efficient) baking station!
- Choose a designated tabletop, counter space, or cupboard for your baking station
- Display dry ingredients in storage containers or decorative bins to neatly display your supplies
- Place smaller (and less attractive) supplies in bins or arrange them neatly on a spice rack
- Tuck pans, measuring cups, bowls and other gear in nearby cupboards for quick and easy access
